We seek a Chief Social Worker to provide Training, Capacity building and Support to Child Welfare South Africa – Gauteng affiliates.
To act as the first point of contact with affiliates, namely it’s board members and employees, and other third parties. Understand the structures and the regulatory environment in which the NPOs operate.
- Masters in Bachelors of Art Degree in Social Work
- Registered SACSSP
- Valid Drivers License
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Management, Practice, Supervision, Consultation, Developmental Social Work, Report Writing and committed to Transformation, Facilitation and Training.
- Knowledge of the NPO Sector and Child Protection and Welfare Services, more specific Child Protection, Management and Governance.
- Strong Communication Skills
- Experience with working with Stakeholders, Funders, Government Departments
- Knowledge of the Interpretation and Application of the Children’s Act No. 38 of 2005, including the Norms and Standards,
- Excellent Communication Skills, Proficiency in English (both verbal and written),
- Computer literate and Proficiency in the use of Computer Applications (Word Processing, Spreadsheet, PresentationPackages and Internet Applications),
- Knowledge of Research / Methodology Skills, change and transformation
- Computer literate, and solid knowledge of Microsoft email, Word, Excel And PowerPoint
- Vibrant, Energetic, Self-motivated, with strong leadership skills and excellent team player.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Own reliable vehicle.
- Ability to travel in the Province of Gauteng
- Must Reside in Gauteng
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop governance training material based on the target audience.
- Assess the affiliates’ needs, focusing on board members, directors and employees.
- Facilitate and lead training sessions.
- Conduct training evaluations to measure intended outcomes and submit monthly qualitative and quantitative reports.
- Facilitate and conduct induction sessions on policies, procedures and code of conduct, and the SACSSP code of ethics.
- Provide daily support and guidance to affiliates.
- Attend affiliates’ annual general meetings
- Assist with coordinating reoccurring and ad-hoc projects
Salary based on Department of Social Development Subsidy.
