What does a Social Worker do?

Social workers provide a number of services to vulnerable individuals, families and communities. Within the Child Welfare sector social workers are involved in multiple activities which focus on the protection and welfare of children in need and at risk.   These services often include (but not limited to) statutory intervention, crisis management and provision of psycho – social support.
