What is Child Trafficking?

It is an illegal activity whereby children are sold or kidnapped, transported and used for the purpose ofmainly:

Sexual exploitation
Adoption
Forced labour

Who is at risk?

Any child can be at risk therefore caregivers need to be vigilant
Vulnerable children
Young mothers with poor support systems
Children heading households

Tips for Caregivers

Do not allow children to walk alone. There is safety in numbers

Know the whereabout of children in your care at all times

Verify information and promises of employment and study opportunities

Educate children about stranger danger

Educate children about what to do if they feel unsafe
